Fed: Australia must pull together on indigenous affairs: Chaney

A group promoting reconciliation .. says Australia must pull together and address the
social issues of indigenous affairs.

FRED CHANEY .. the co-chair of Reconciliation Australia .. also served as an indigenous
affairs minister with the Fraser coalition government.

Mr CHANEY says addressing issues like indigenous education and health is a long-distance
race .. and Australia must get on top its abysmal indigenous social statistics.

He's told ABC radio we've traditionally done very badly on such long-term policies.
