FED:HMAS Adelaide to be scutlled today
The warship HMAS Adelaide will be scuttled today off Avoca Beach on the New South Wales
central coast .. despite yesterday's last minute bid by the No Ship Action Group to halt
the sinking.
The group filed a summons at the Land and Environment Court late yesterday afternoon
.. and wanted Premier BARRY O'FARRELL to step in to halt the sinking.
The decommissioned vessel is to go down at 10.30am (AEST) this morning.
